Great Beer Lists Found in Philly
Been a while since I've mentioned the great train station bar, Bridgewaters at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Joe Sixpack reminded me when he posted The Khyber's tap list and how amazing he found it.
Similarly, imagine walking to/from the train and stumbling across this tap list. When you need a beverage to go with your Llama meatballs, Gator Bites, Yak & Goat Burger or Cajun Catfish, look no farther than their beer list. Below is what it looked like this past Thursday, 7/10.
Oh, do you need food a bit less "adventurous?" They also have paninis, gumbo, caesar salad, chicken salad, and the requisite Philly Cheesesteak. (does that need a TM?) Bridgewater's is always a good excuse for showing up early for a train, or running late for your appointment after getting off the train.

And only five blocks away from my residence. Will have to start checking it out. Train stations are not normally where one would think to go for a good beer.
I figured if I say it enough, people might listen and actually believe me ;-)
Huge fan of this place; I try to get there at least once a month (I take the train through 30th Street). Menu seems to change monthly and taps even more often. Always a pleasant surprise. And they will cheerfully serve you a Corona if that's, um, your cup of tea. :-)
When I come down for events in the city, we always take AmTrak from Exton, PA. It is NOT an option to have at least a pint or two, or three prior to getting on the Market Street line to head to the stadiums. The staff is great and once they know you are extremely accomodating!
