Have you caught the Food Section of today's Philadelphia Inquirer? The print edition is out today where you'll see all sorts of tasty stuff including the judging results of the fourth annual Brew-vitational that Craig LaBan and the Inquirer have conducted.
As you may have known, or about to learn, I was one of the eight judges and the results of our five-hour-long labor of love are detailed in the paper.
Much of the print version is available online as well as some video. I've included links below to speed your way. I'll come back later to elaborate some more on my thoughts about the Pilsner category, which I voiced some passion about during the judging. (Spoiler: I love 'em.)

The correct answer to the question is "Dan Marino", who was raised in Pittsburgh and attended both high school and college there playing as a standout quarterback before his professional football career with the Miami Dolphins.

International Beer Fest Contest Winner
I'm pleased to announce that Chris B. correctly answered all 10 questions before anyone else and will be attending the International Beer Fest in Cleveland compliments of the Festival organizers and The Brew Lounge.
I'll be anxious to hear how this ambitious endeavor the The Forest City plays out.

Contest: Free tickets for International Beer Fest in Cleveland
I'll be nearby in Pittsburgh running the marathon on the weekend of May 13-15.
If I wasn't, I'd be in Cleveland. I enjoy every chance I get to visit Cleveland; there are always just enough sights, sounds, eats, and drinks to partake in to keep things interesting.
During my last trip there, I discovered La Cave du Vin near Case Western and came home with some great beers at decent prices.
Now, we can add the International Beer Fest to the list.
This looks to be quite the ambitious undertaking and I wish I could be there to experience. Check out their website for all the details. They're talking about something like 200 breweries and 800 beers.
I'm offering a chance for you to go in my place.
Two general admission tickets (value: $45/ticket) can be yours if you reply with the most correct answers to the following Cleveland-based trivia questions. In the case of a tie, the date/time stamp on your e-mail will serve as the tiebreaker.

You say you want to try Pliny the Younger but keep missing it? Here's a chance to try it for free, but you'll need to act quickly
The excitement for this beer still shows little sign of waning. According to owner Howard Weintraub, last night his Drafting Room in Exton pre-sold all tickets in 20 minutes for the Pliny the Younger tapping this Saturday during his annual HopFest event.
All except for two.
He has made two tickets available for me to give away to lucky readers of The Brew Lounge. But, I won't make it that easy for you.
I'm a numbers guy and I sense that many of you (particularly the homebrewers in the crowd) are as well.
So here's the deal. You're gonna have to act fast on this one if you want a chance to taste this highly-sought after and praise-lavished beer.
Be one of the first two to respond with the correct answer to this little Russian River-inspired numbers game and you'll score yourself a free glass of Pliny the Younger this Saturday, March 12 at The Drafting Room in Exton, Pa.
One ticket per winner. Two winners.
All of the answers to these questions are not too difficult to find with some low-to-medium web sleuthing skills. Good luck!

Beer Photos for Prizes
It's the time of year when Alan McLeod of the excellent The Good Beer Blog hosts a photo contest. It's beer-related (no kidding) and the prizes that are donated to his contest are worth the time it will take you to dig out some pictures from your archives.
You have until next Sunday, December 5 to submit pictures. It's a lot of fun to see how people like to feature beer in their photographic art.
This year, Alan is asking for more beer and (in?) snow pictures. With the 80-ish inches that we had here in the Philadelphia area this past winter, I was easily able to dig out two pictures that I submitted. I'll bet you can probably do better.
