Draft Line Cleaning, how much is never enough?
I admittedly don't know much about draft line cleaning at bars; never done it myself. In PA, according to those who should know, it's mandated by the State to be done every week. I haven't done much research into who does what and how often.
So when I came across this blurb from Rattle 'n' Hum in Manhattan (NY, not Kansas, in case you were unclear), I was impressed for two reasons. First in the fact that the topic was broached by the bar at all and, second, that, if true, the frequency in their draft line cleanings. It seems to be a topic not often discussed by proprietors and often one that consumers will bandy about when their beer just doesn't measure up to expectations.
I'm sure there are scores of you out there who know more than I on this subject matter. What say you about constant/weekly/never line cleaning?

Grey Lodge mentions a weekly cleaning but the picture link looks broken.
I say the Berwyn Tavern doesn't clean them nearly often enough.
There are so many bars in Philly that don't clean their lines properly. It's pitiful. Even places like Monks has nasty lines. Some are good and some are bad. North Star Bar might be the worst offender, with World Cafe Live coming in 2nd.
I know the Grey Lodge has a guy who comes in each Monday morning to clean the lines.
Once a week without fail.
