Brewing Beer: Quick update
The Kolsch is still in the primary fermenter. I'll need to get to that soon. It's time to rack it into the secondary.
The Altbier is in the fridge at about 45 degrees. It's been there for about a week. This will be the first beer I have ever brewed and lagered (or chilled in the fermenter). I hear it helps remove the harsh flavors. {shrug} I'll probably keg this soon so I can use the carboy for the secondary fermentation of the Kolsch. Might bottle some too. Just so it is easy to share with my Dad.
And....the Barleywine is doing well I guess. I still have it in the secondary fermenter. I really need to take a specific gravity reading two days in a row to see if it is done fermenting. If it is...I don't know what to do. Taste it I guess :-)
