Drink Locally from Victory on Christmas Eve
The crowd is growing at Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown, PA today. If you're nearby, you may wish to stop in and get some fresh beer to go. Judging from years past, this is the time to go. By 1, 2, 3 o'clock, the bar will be packed. (Well, actually at 3pm they'll be closed.) And, most of them will be enjoying a beer or two while getting one or eight growlers filled. It's one of the heaviest growler business days that they do during the year.
Today will tell if the growler filling station investment that Bill & Ron made pays off. Just before noon, there was a 3-5 growler deep line at the station that grew to almost a steady stream of 10 by the time I left. The kitchen's closed, so don't expect food. But, do expect a great lineup of beer...and most likely a short wait to be served. But, they're staffed well with an energetic bunch of bartenders to make your wait as pleasant as possible.
