Steak & Beer, it's what's for dinner
Tonight in King of Prussia, PA, join Tröegs (Chris Brugger, Nick Johnson, and Whitney Thompson) at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse from 6pm-7pm. Then do the steakhouse thing again at Morton's Steakhouse in Center City Philly two weeks from tonight on 9/22 when they'll be matching three Chimay beers with their food.
Both events look to please with tasty morsels of steakhouse food to pair with excellent beers. At Ruth's Chris tonight with a $20 admission fee, they'll be serving up light steakhouse fare along with choices of Dead Reckoning, Troegenator, Hopback, and Dreamweaver Wheat. Plus, they'll throw in a Tröegs pint glass to take home with you.
At Morton's on the 22nd, Chimay's "Red", "White", and "Blue" will be served along side tuna tartare canapés, petite filet mignon sandwiches, sliced smoked salmon, and Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake. A $45 entry fee covers it all from 6pm-7:30pm.
Nice to see a couple of steakhouse venues getting on board with beer and food pairings.
EDIT: The Chimay event is scheduled at various Morton's locations all across the country over the next couple of months. If Philadelphia is not convenient for you, check out their website to find a Morton's near you.
