Beer Tasting: McKenzie Belgian Wit
McKenzie Brew House in Malvern, PA (now two months old) is up to 5 usuals and 4 specialty tap lines. This witbier was purchased in a growler, refrigerated, and consume approximately 5 hours later.
Have you tasted this beer? Let us know what you think. As a suggestion, try to keep the review as brief as possible for each of the following: appearance; smell; taste; mouthfeel; and drinkability.
Appearance
Adam: the picture does it justice
Bryan: cloudy, straw color; very little initial head and retention
Smell
Adam: kinda citrussy
Bryan: not much to note except some typical sweet aromas; maybe orange
Taste
Adam: kinda like an unripe banana taste with citrus
Bryan: hint of banana, orange, clove
Mouthfeel
Adam: clean and refreshing, kinda watery
Bryan: smooth, but not heavy with just a bit of light carbonation
Drinkability
Adam: very refreshing
Bryan: yes, it's thin enough to be an easy summer drinking beer
Seconds?
Adam: on a hot day you betcha
Bryan: sure
